There had been rumours that Tipperary County Council was struggling to secure enough salt to continue treating main routes across the county.
1,100 kilometres of the road network is covered under the local authorities Winter Service Plan.
Senior Engineer James Murray says the council has capacity for 3,000 tonnes of salt.
“As we use salt we’re also replenishing if from the national stocks. So there is no issues with salt stocks and with the predicted end to the event we won’t have a problem on that front, that’s certainly not a concern for us.
“I suppose the concern for us really is to try and get through the volume of work that’s ahead of us and to try and get all the resources marshalled and any other additional resources that we can engage to try and clear places.”
