A local representative has branded Tipperary County Council’s submission on the Shannon Pipeline as disgraceful and disappointing.
The Chief Executive’s draft submission to a public consultation on the Eastern and Midlands Water Supply Scheme was shot down when it was put before yesterday’s monthly meeting for approval.

Nenagh Cllr Seamie Morris is a vocal opponent of the proposed project to carry water from the Parteen Basin through Tipperary and onto Dublin.
He told the plenary meeting that he was horrified by what he described as an ‘8-page surrender’ to the Uisce Éireann plans.
