Anyone convicted of illegal dumping in Tipperary needs to face the full rigours of the law.
That’s the call from a Roscrea based County Councillor who says the issue has to be tackled.

Independent Shane Lee highlighted the ongoing problem at the December meeting of the county council.
“It’s totally unacceptable – especially in Roscrea where we have a recycling centre that’s very busy and very active. There’s no excuse in this day and age for people to be going along illegal dumping. It’s not good for the people, its not good for neighbours in the area and its not good for the environment.
“So I was calling today for the full rigours of the law to forced on the people that are illegal dumping.”
