Funeral of former Tipperary County Councillor to take place today

Former Councillor Joe Bourke will be laid to rest in Templemore this afternoon.

The Clonmore man died on Tuesday after a short illness at the age of 63.

He did two stints as in public office during which time he served as Mayor of Templemore and Cathaoirleach of the Thurles MDC on Tipperary County Council.

He will be buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery after funeral mass at St. Anne’s Church Clonmore.
