€6 million in funding has been confirmed for the Latteragh Road Realignment project.
It means the scheme to straighten the road between Nenagh and Thurles will progress this year.

But a local councillor says there’s been issues between the contractors on site at the moment and the owners of the land along the route.
Fianna Fail’s John Carroll says he welcomes the news on the funding but warns that relations with the landowners needs to improve when the work is being carried out.
