There’s positive news for Templemore with funding approved for vital flood relief works.
Deputy Michael Lowry has confirmed that €181,000 has been allocated for the provision of a 6 metre culvert beside the existing bridge in the town under the Minor Flood Mitigation Works.
Tipperary County Council will carry out this work as well as raising the road and widening an existing channel at Blackcastle Road.
Deputy Lowry says this work is badly needed in Templemore with himself and Cllr. Eddie Moran pursuing the funding to have it carried out as a matter of priority.
