A new beefed up strategy to tackle anti social behaviour has been ratified by Tipperary County Council.

The inititiative combines policies already in place both North and South of the county and will allow cases to go before the courts quicker.

While welcoming the strategy, councillors across the Premier expressed concern about ongoing issues to do with anti social behaviour and the limited scope the authority has to deal with them.

However Senior Executive Officer in the Housing Department Aiden Fennessey says they need more than just the council’s input for a sucessful outcome.
