A public meeting will take place next week to discuss concerns over a local cemetery.
Issues with the size of headstones and access to Cormac’s Cemetery in Cashel are among the topics to be debated.
Tipperary County Council have bye-laws in place restricting the height of monuments erected in the cemetery.
Council officials have been invited as well as the three locally based elected representatives.
On Tipp Today earlier recently appointed Chairperson of Cashel Fianna Fáil Paudie Taylor spoke about ongoing problems at the cemetery.
“The anti-social behaviour is still an ongoing issue so I suppose with it going on so long – whether it be drinking in the cemetery or people being made feel unsafe particularly elderly people – we’ll have an update from the Council on steps that are being taken currently to solve that.”
The meeting will be held on Wednesday June 18th at 7.30pm in the Spafield Resource Centre.
