Tipperary Councillors voice opposition to removal of religious symbols from hospitals

A Government proposal to remove religious symbols from hospitals met strong opposition at the March meeting of Tipperary County Council.

The proposal would oblige hospitals run by the Catholic Church to remove crucifixes and other religious symbols from the hospital wards.

Councillor David Doran feels the government’s attentions would be better spent elsewhere.
