Tipperary business leaders see positives in Live Reg figures

Despite an increase of nearly 300 in the number of people signing on in Tipperary last month business leaders say there are some positive signs.

Latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show there were just shy of 11,200 people on the Live Register in June.

This is down almost 2,000 on the same period last year.

Tipp FM’s Pat Murphy spoke to CEO of Tipperary Chambers Dave Shanahan who says we need to keep our eye on the ball despite the overall downward trend.
