Tipperary to benefit from Dormant Accounts funding for Sport

Tipperary is to benefit from Dormant Accounts funding for sport.

Its part of an additional 1.5 million Euro in Dormant Accounts Investment announced for Sport and Physical Activity Measures across the country.

Funding for Tipperary Sports Partnership will focus on the development of urban outdoor adventure initiatives.

They will get 47,000 to aid the development of a multi-activity programme including canoeing, archery and orienteering.

Co-ordinator with the Tipperary Sports Partnership Valerie Connolly says this funding will go towards building on the number of people undertaking physical activity through adventure sports.
