First awarded in 2006, the An Post Irish Book Awards celebrate and promote Irish writing to the widest range of readers possible and to recognise the very best of new and established Irish writing talent.

Donal Ryan, Author of Heart, Be at Peace is one of the nominees chosen from the category winners at the An Post Irish Book Awards.

The other books and authors in the running are *Fia and the Last Snow Deer* by Eilish Fisher, *Frankie* by Graham Norton, *A Stranger in the Family* by Jane Casey, *Obsessed: The Autobiography* by Johnny Sexton, and *Nature Boy* by Seán Ronayne.

The Winner is expected to be announced on December 19th
