This follows a judgment in favour of the HSE at the High Court.

The Hospital Action Committee had sought to prevent the HSE from
removing acute psychiatric services from South Tipperary to Kilkenny.

President of the High Court Nicholas Kerins ruled that the 1996 agreement on acute services
in South Tipperary did not cover acute psychiatric services.

This includes services currently provided by St. Michael's Unit in Clonmel.
