Tipp Senator supports Fianna Fail motion

Tipperary Senator Denis Landy was among three Labour representative who voted against the Government yesterday which led to an opposition motion being passed.

Fianna Fail tabled a motion calling for the government to include Seanad reform in the Constitutional Convention, something with the coalition is opposed to.

The Government plans to hold a referendum proposing the Seanad's abolition.

Carrick on Suir based Senator Landy told Tipp FM News that he believed he had a free vote to the matter and any issue relating to the future of the Seanad.
