Tipp senator criticises delay in Seanad appointments

The Seanad has been waiting for the Taoiseach to reveal his nominations, with former Minister James Reilly speculated to be amongst them.

It comes as a Tipperary Senator has criticised the delay in finalising the make-up of the Seanad.

The Upper House won't be able to hold a meeting until all 60 members have been chosen. 

Labour representative Denis Landy feels it’s disrespectful to the public and the parliamentary process that the Seanad has not sat since the General Election was called over three months ago.
