However one Tipperary town is doing something a little bit different this year.
Carrick on Suir's parade is to be held at night, instead of during the afternoon, as was tradition.

The organising committee say that they were looking for ways to attract more bands and groups to take part in the festivities and found it hard to secure bands that were already committed to other parades during the day.
