Tipp protester due before Dublin Court

A Tipperary man is due back in court today charged in connection with a demonstration outside the Justice Department in April.

White emulsion paint was thrown at the building during a protest calling on the then Justice Minister Alan Shatter to resign.

Five people were subsequently arrested and charged – including Terence Barry of Kennedy Park, Thurles who is accused of allegedly vandalising the government building.

The 42 year old, along with four others who have Dublin addresses, are due back before Dublin District Court today.
