Tipp man claims Lotto winnings

A Tipperary man has collected a cheque for quarter of a million Euro at the National Lottery headquarters.

The Cahir man – who wishes to remain anonymous – hit the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot last Saturday night.

He was watching the draw on television but his nerves got the better of him when he saw four of his numbers appear and he turned off the TV – he had to check the ticket in his local shop later.

The man plans to share the win with his family.

The ticket was bought at the Spar on Church Street on the day of the draw.
