A Tipperary man has been appointed Head of the EU Commission's Representation in Ireland.
Gerry Kiely brings over 30 years of European and international affairs experience to the post.

The Killenaule native joined the European civil service in 1989 specialising in International Relations on Agriculture. Prior to this he spent eight years working with the Irish Farmers Association.
Barbara Nolan – who has been Head of Representation in Ireland since 2010 – is returning to Commission Headquarters in Brussels.
