The constituencies North & South look set to pass the Marriage Referendum.
Minister Alan Kelly was in jubilant form sporting a Tipp scarf and YES badge as he arrived into the count centre in Thurles this morning and from the early tallies it seems he his party and the government have something to celebrate.
While it looked tight when boxes first opened, the ballot papers with yes marks on them took the lead.
Areas like Thurles 60-40, Presentation Carrick 3/1 YES, Thomas-town 54/46, Borrisokane 70/30 and Newport 60/ 40

He added it was particularly sweet here give the county traditionally votes note in referenda.
So as it stands in the Municipal Districts the trends are showing 60/65% yes in Nenagh and ThurlesTemplemore 55/45.
In Clonmel is proving very tight while Carrick is running at 77 percent yes.

Counting in the Marriage Referendum is expected to be completed by 2.30 when the result will be sent to Dublin
Tipperary Fine Gael TD Noel Coonan who was advocating for a yes vote says he is delighted to see Ireland as grown up and was very pleased the country was giving this the thumbs up.
