Tipp housing estate taken in charge by council

Cullenagh – in Ballina has now been offically taken in charge by the county council following a lenghty campaign by residents and local representatives.

Problems at the estate- which has over a hundred houses- arose after the developer went into receivership but last year state funding to complete the outstanding works was secured.

Local Fine Gael councillor Phyl Bugler says the “taking in charge” process will now cover any future issues that may arise.
