Tipp farmers to join protest over beef prices.

The IFA held a series of similar demonstrations over the past few months, including at the ABP plant in Nenagh but will step up their campaign tomorrow due to what they claim is inaction by the government. 

Farmers insist meat factories have cut the prices they are paying for some beef animal and claim they have been reluctant to take certain types of cattle, despite previous pledges to do so.

South Tipp IFA Chairman Simon Ryan says if the Minister is serious about Food Harvest 2020 then farmers need to get a good price for cattle.
