Tipp drivers warned of Status yellow weather alert

Large volumes of traffic are expected on the county's roads from early afternoon as people return home after the long weekend. 

It comes a status yellow weather alert is in place for Tipperary and several other counties with heavy rain expected throughout the day.

With the darker evenings and wet weather, motorists are being reminded to ensure their cars, especially tyres, are in good condition before they set off on their journey.
