Tipp couple claim lotto prizemoney

A  Tipperary  couple have claimed almost half a million in prizemoney after they bought a winning Euromillions ticket in Limerick city last month.

They bought the €3 Quick-Pick ticket at Gleeson’s Spar, Henry Street on Tuesday March 20.

The couple, who do not wish to be identified, scooped €468,877 after they matched five numbers and a lucky star in that evening’s draw.

According to the National Lottery, they have a young family and now aim to buy a dream house in the countryside.

The husband said he bought the ticket at the shop as he was passing through on business.

The winning ticket was the biggest sold at Gleeson’s Spar since a winning €2.1 million Lotto ticket was sold there eight years ago.
