Traffic is expected to be very heavy on many routes into the city – particularly around Newlands Cross so motorists are urged to get on the road early.

Fans who park illegally around Croke Park are warned they will be clamped and instead they are urged to park in one of the several carparks across Dublin that will cost just 4 euro a day for those with All Ireland tickets.

Other alternatives include the Luas with ample parking at a number of the stations on the outskirts of the city while several bus services are running from the suburbs in.

Fans without tickets are being warned against purchasing them off unauthorised vendors as they tickets may be fake.
