A Tipperary woman is asking locals to come out this weekend and help her clock up 180km worth of walking
Alison Fogarty McCarthy from Tipp town is planning to complete the distance before next Thursday when the Rock of Cashel will be turned purple as part of the effort to raise funds for the Irish Kidney Association.
She had a successful kidney transplant a year ago and says she wants to give something back.
She’s clocking up the mileage at different locations here in Tipperary every day and she’s asking for company while she does it;
“Its the same as walking from my house in Tipperary to Beaumont”
“I would like people to join me as much as possible”
