Thurles planning decision appealed.

An appeal has been lodged against plans for a development on the former Erin Foods site in Thurles.

Planning permission had been granted to Baycross Developments Limited for a major project on the Slievenamon Road and Clongour.

Their proposals included a supermarket and a fast food restaurant with a drive through

The project would have entailed the construction of two new roundabouts on the N62.

Among those appealing Thurles Town Council's planning decision to An Bord Pleanala are RG Data and the applicants themselves.

A decision is due from the state planning appeals board towards the end of February.
