Thurles man to be sentenced for burglary

George Hackett – who is originally from Thurles – will appear before Nenagh Circuit Court later.

This burglary took place at a house in Beechwood Lawns, Monakeeba, Thurles on April 23rd of 2014.

George Hackett, who is originally from Thurles but with an address in Limerick was arrested in Limerick two weeks after the burglary. 

He has already pleaded guilty to the burglary charge and has been in custody awaiting sentence since 2014 having had a previous bail application refused.

George Hackett will appear before Judge Tom Teehan at Nenagh Circuit Court later today to be sentenced for the serious burglary incident.
