A County Tipperary man left paralysed following an accident is to have the withdrawal of his medical card reviewed.
Danny has been in a wheelchair since the accident in October 2009 – recently his Medical Card was removed.
His case was highlighted by his brother-in-law on Friday's Tipp Today following which a number of local politicians intervened on his behalf with Deputy Mattie McGrath confirming shortly afterwards that Danny's Medical Card had been re-instated pending an appeal.
Danny's wife Phyllis says the loss of the Medical Card would have major financial implications for the family.
