Thurles Hospital Group give ultimatum to Health Minister on reopening beds

The guantlet has been thrown down to the Health Minister to honour his promise to reopen beds at the Hospital of the Assumption in Thurles.

The Assumption Action Group have said they will give James Reilly until the end of this month to reopen the 22 beds at the facility, which he promised to do by the end of January.

They say that if the beds are not restored in the next few weeks, they will escalate their campaign.

They also say that they have been left disillusioned by the Ministers failure to respond to their letters, asking what progress was being made.
