The local community on the Tipperary – Offaly border are in shock today following a fatal crash in Thurles town.
Maura Murphy from just outside Shinrone died after she was struck by an articulated lorry at the junction of Slievenamon Road and Liberty Square shortly before midday yesterday….

The victim, who was in her 50's worked in the Community Nursing Unit in Birr.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was near the scene yesterday and may have seen anything to contact them.
Sergeant Eddie Brennan from Thurles Garda Station told Tipp Fm that any piece of information could be of importance in their investigation
