Just 9 of the 15 members of Tipperary County Council appointed to the JPC turned up while none of the constituency's Oireachtas members attended the gathering in Nenagh yesterday.

This follows a similar situation at their inaugural meeting last April when just 6 County Councillors and 2 Oireachtas members were present.

All of the community, business, Garda and Tipperary County Council officials on the JPC attended yesterdays meeting.

Committee member and Sinn Fein representative David Doran has again questioned the commitment of some of the elected representatives to the Joint Policing Committee.
