Thurles Cllr wants cap on legal aid use

It's estimated that the annual cost of the legal aid system is around 50 million euro a year…currently; an application for the free representation has to be approved by the courts before someone can avail of legal aid. 

At this week's monthly meeting of Tipperary County Council, there was a call for the number of times someone can avail of free legal aid to be limited for people with multiple convictions
