The public is being asked for help in tracking down those responsible for a wanton act of vandalism in Thurles.
A statue in the grounds of the Cathedral of the Assumption was targeted this week causing considerable damage.
Superintendent Pat Murphy of Thurles Garda Station is appealing for information.
