Three men have been remanded in custody, after appearing in court in connection with a number of raids on properties in counties Carlow and Laois.
Last Wednesday seven men were questioned at Garda stations across Kilkenny, Wexford, Tipperary and Carlow, as part of an intelligence-led operation investigating more than 70 crimes committed over the past year.
Thomas Hurley – with an address at The View, Graigecullen, Co Carlow, Matthew Dreeling of Tommy Murphy Park, Graigecullen, Co Carlow and Adrian Farrell from Rosmore View, Graigcullen, Co. Carlow appeared before Carlow District Court.
They faced a number of charges – which include theft, possession of stolen property and firearms and several road traffic offences.
All three men – one in his late teens, the others in their twenties – have been remanded in custody with consent to bail – to appear before Cloverhill District Court on Wednesday.
