4,000 local households and businesses in the Carrick-on-Suir area can drink their tap water again.
The water from the Linguan Public Supply has been deemed safe again and a Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
It had been issued on the 9th of June and was affecting 4-thousand local homes, farms and businesses on the Lingaun Public Supply.
Uisce Éireann says remedial works were carried out after Operational issues at the plant caused failures in the treatment process.
The company got the go-ahead from the HSE to lift the notice yesterday after test results came back clear on consecutive days this week.
The utility is acknowledging the impact on the community and is thanking locals for their patience but says everyone can now go back to normal use.
