Temporary ceasefire agreed in Gaza.

A five hour ceasefire is due to come into effect between Israel and Hamas this morning.

Reports in Gaza say 227 people have now died in the 10 day conflict, while 1 person has been killed by a Hamas rocket attack.

The Israeli Defence Force claimed this morning it had foiled an attempt by 13 militants to tunnel across its border.

The UN proposed a ceasefire in the aftermath of a shelling yesterday in which four boys were killed on a Gaza beach.
