Gardaí in Templemore are warning people to be aware of another phone scam in the area.
They have received reports of callers claiming to be from Visa and highlighting some unusual transactions on their Visa Direct or Debit cards which need to be checked out.

The caller then looks for the card details – Gardaí are reminding people that they should never give out any of this information over the phone.
Listeners are also being encouraged to pass this information on to elderly neighbours or family members.
