Retailers may introduce temperature checks for staff and shoppers when they’re allowed reopen.

According to The Irish Times, they are also considering banning price promotions to prevent a rush of customers.

Retail Excellence says shops should also consider barring the use of trolleys and insist on card payments for a period.

Professor Anthony Staines, from DCU’s school of nursing, says temperature checks might not be a very effective measure in shops.
