Teenager dies in Kildare drowning incident

The 13 year old boy was in a group of three children that fell into the Lyreen river beside the Kilcock road in Maynooth – at around four o'clock yesterday afternoon.

One of the boys managed to get to shore and call for help and the two boys and one girl were rushed to Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children.
