Teen pocket money on the rise.

It seems the economic recovery is finally being seen in the pocket money of Ireland's teenagers.

They're getting an average of €13 a week, and nearly a fifth get more than they did a year ago.

The figures compiled by the Irish League of Credit Unions also show three quarters of teenagers save their cash.

Half of them are saving for a phone or other gadget, 28 per cent for a holiday, and 17 per cent are putting away money for college.
