Teagasc is to set up the farm at Kildalton Agricultural College aimed at using best current and emerging technologies to ensure sustainable food production and achieve the goals of FoodHarvest 2020.
Frank Murphy, principle at the college says that water usage is a huge area of interest and will become more important once water charges come into force next year.
