It works out at an average of 147 thousand euro per TD since March 2011.
The Irish Independent reports that just one in ten have to provide receipts for their expenses.

The payments are on top of their Dail salaries of over 87 thousand euro a year.
Only one TD, Eamonn Maloney of Labour, doesn't claim expenses, even though they are optional.
