With a week to go before the country goes to the polls, both sides of the debate are ramping up their efforts to convince people which way to vote next Friday.

Joan Burton is in Nenagh this afternoon where she will take to the streets to canvass for a Yes vote…she says the issue being asked of people is very simple.

Meanwhile, a group of teachers who are calling for a NO vote have come together to form a new organisation called 'Educators for Conscience'.

The group, which is made up of teachers, parents and academics, say they have concerns about the impact a Yes vote would have on teachers here….that they would be forced to teach material that is against their beliefs.

Spokesperson John Murray says they want clarification of the implications of a YES vote on things like school curriculums.
