Swiss Cottage to re-open

The Swiss Cottage normally closes in mid-October for the winter season – however with the castle closed until late February this has now changed.

OPW staff from Cahir Castle have now been transferred to the cottage on the banks of the River Suir just 2 kilometres from the town.

The Swiss Cottage will now open from Wednesday to Sunday each week.

Local County Councillor Andy Moloney has been campaigning for some time to have the cottage remain open for longer.
