Sebastian Barry won the Novel Award for “Days Without End”, while Brian Conaghan won the Children's Book Award for “The Bombs that Brought Us Together”.
The awards – which are open only to authors resident in the UK and Ireland – recognise the most enjoyable books across five categories.

The winners – selected from nearly 600 entries – will each receive 5,800 Euro and will be eligible for the overall Book of the Year prize.
