The move comes following what the union says is “the company’s decision to renege on the terms of a 2009 collective agreement regarding redundancy terms.”

Representatives say the company has made one of its members redundant on terms which will amount to around half of what was agreed…with Unite workers told they are not covered by the 2009 deal.

Unite represents workers at a managerial grade at the plant on the outskirts of Clonmel with 24 workers part of the union.
