Still no resolution to Vita Cortex dispute

A breakthrough in the Vita-Cortex sit-in in Cork failed to materialise over the week-end.

This is despite ongoing contacts between the parties in the long running dispute on redundancy payments between employees and employer’s, including Tipperary businessman Jack Ronan.

Siptu's Gerry McCormack said the Labour Relation's Commission told him there was, as yet, no basis for bringing the parties together for direct talks.

However, he said the process of contacts will continue and it's hoped there will be further progress this week.
