A private school in County Tipperary received over €900,000 in state subsidies last year.
According to a report in the Irish Examiner private schools across the country were granted €95 million in support in 2011.

The Cistercian College in Roscrea got €869,346 towards teachers’ salaries with €34,347 towards clerical staff.
