Special screening of Mise Eire to take place in Cloughjordan

It comes as the 1916 commemorations continue apace both in the North Tipperary village – which is the birthplace of Thomas McDonagh – and right across the Premier county.

The free screening in the Thomas McDonagh Centre at 8 o'clock has been jointly organised by Cloughjordan Community Cineclub in association with Cloughjordan Heritage Group.

According to May Casey of the Heritage Group it's one of many events planned for the centre, which has a vast array of memorabilia relating to the Rising.
